As a result of the new CON29, Portsmouth City Council have increased their Council search fees with effect from 14/7/16.

Their own  CON29 will be increased by £16 , resulting in a full Council Local Land Charges Search now costing £66, considerably more than HW who have not increased their fees for the extra work involved in the new forms.

So far, three other Southern Authorities have announced similar rises, those being Adur and Worthing (£97), Guildford (£110) and Waverley (£201). All Council fees will shortly be subject to VAT , increasing the cost of a Council search even further.
